THE HONEST GUIDE
Why Douching Alone Keeps Letting You Down
Let's be clear about one thing first: if douching is part of your routine, you're not doing anything wrong. It's the tool we were all handed, and for decades it was the only one on the shelf. The problem is what it can't do, and nobody ever walks you through that part.
Start with timing. Rinse too early and the window quietly closes on you. Rinse too late and you're rushed, second-guessing, running the water one more time "just to be sure." There's a reason the water never seems to run clear exactly when you need it to.
Then there's the irritation problem. More water feels like more certainty, but overdo it and you rinse away the healthy bacteria that keep you regular in the first place. That's why a marathon session can leave you feeling emptied out, cranky, and somehow less sure than when you started. For a lot of guys, the hour in the bathroom is quietly creating the surprises it was supposed to prevent.
And here's the big one: the 150cm limit. Water only ever reaches the last few inches. The residue that actually causes surprises comes from much further up, roughly five feet higher, in a stretch of your gut that no shower attachment will ever touch. Not because you're doing it wrong. Because physics. Once you see that, the whole hour finally makes sense: you've been cleaning the one part of the runway that was already fine.
